When I first met with Ashley, she told me all about her big blended family and how fun and crazy they all were together.  She told me of how her and Todd met because they lived next door to each other (how cute is that!?).  She told me about their two lives becoming one big full house of lots of love.
Its totally true.
They combined their homes and, with one baby together, now have a grand total of SEVEN kids.  Yes.  SEVEN.  Whoa!!  However, while I was apart of it that day, it was really cool to watch.  They all seemed to genuinely love one another… his kids, her kids, it didn’t seem to make much a difference to anybody.  They all loved each other.  Awesome.
Their wedding was at the beautiful Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula.  And while it was a busy hustle and bustle of activity (lots of people), things settled down once the ceremony began and the two committed their lives together alongside their families.  I had the chance to work with my dear friend and fabulous photographer Kellie Schneider.  Ya’ll, she’s amazing.  Check out her work at Little Blue Bow Photography here!!

Ashley’s dad has had a range of health struggles over the past several months.  Days before, Ashley was unsure if he was even going to be able to make it to the ceremony.  But dad was a champ… there was no way he was going to miss his daughters wedding!  Once he arrived, the party was ready to begin!

I kinda love the photo above and the photo below.  The whole fam poured sand together into one vase symbolizing their joining together of lives.  It was a little hectic as they all tried to get their sand in … once the kids were finished Todd’s reaction was priceless.  Whew.  That was crazy!

I love these next couple of Ashley dancing with her father.  A beautiful moment.  

Todd and Ashley, what a celebration you had!!  Thank you for choosing me to come alongside you on your beautiful day.  I loved your family.  Every single one.  You two have got a whirlwind of fun and adventure in store.  Much love!!

I knew the first time I talked with Brittney I was going to love shooting her wedding!  Her and Chase met in Pacific Beach a little over three years ago.  He is in the military and was stationed in Washington, but after they dated only three months, she moved up to WA to be near to him.  How sweet is that!!  Their confidence showed not only in that bold move, but I saw it every time they looked at each other.  Here are a few of my favorites from their Barona Wedding on April 1st!

I loved Brittney’s dress!  The pairing of that gorgeous lace, the sweetheart cut, and her beautiful brown locks was amazing.

All those hard earned buttons!  High fives are definitely in order. 

Chase wrote a rap for his vows and surprised Brittney with it!  I love it!!

Courtney & Clayton were married at The Crossings in Carlsbad – a gorgeous venue I was thrilled to shoot at.   They first went out in 7th grade but since those relationships are always revolving – it didn’t last too long. However, after reconnecting at a friends wedding about three years, they began dating again and here they are today!  It was so hard to choose favorites from this wedding, Courtney just has that look that photographs so well.  I’m pretty sure I didn’t get a bad picture all day long.  And not only are they a gorgeous couple, they were so expressive and full of emotion.  It made my job super easy and so much fun.  Here are some of my favorites!

Her dad waited patiently before getting to view his little girl for the first time.  It was one of my all time favorite first looks for a daddy daughter!

One of my favorite images of these two is below!  We did photos on the golf course and were met with some wicked wind!  I kind of love that wind blown look though.

Courtney didnt have an official bridal party, but we had to snag a couple with girls.  These ladies liked to have a good time!

This veil was AMAZING.  And we literally snuck out for about 5 minutes after cocktail hour to snag these photos… I’m so thankful we did because they’re some of my favorite of the day!

Two of Courtney’s closest friend broke out in a surprise song and dance after the toasts.  It was pretty amazing.

I loved sharing in this celebration with these two. I could tell they lived a wildly free and spirited life together.  Their love was resounding and true.  Much love to Courtney and Clayton.  Here are some of those that made their day the success that it was.

Alicia & Christian got married in this gorgeous Poway home.  The backyard hosted their 100+ guests and offered a beautiful ceremony, cocktail and reception area in the back.  And despite the unusually warm day at the end of October, these two had a great party.  Here are some sneak peaks from their beautiful day.

The place was a hustle of activity.  Christian and Alicia had friends and family from all over come to celebrate with them.
I was in love with Alicia’s hair.  It was a beautiful job well done by Savannah Turrietta at Bridal Hair Artistry!  She looked extremely classy and elegant.

The couple hosted a grilled cheese bar for the guests during cocktail hour.  The groom needed a bit of a pick me up, so he grabbed a sandwich before we headed out for some photos.  GAH!  Is she not the most stunning bride.  I could photograph her all day.  Please?

What a beautiful celebration these two had!  I was so thankful they allowed me to be apart of it!  Alicia & Christian… I was totally inspired and amazed at you both throughout the day.  You two are both incredible, full of integrity and character and just pure sweetness.  Here are some others that helped them celebrate!

He’s a chef, she’s a scientist.  He’s the artist, she’s the logic.  They met at a bar after he offered to buy her a shot of whiskey.  She doesn’t even drink whiskey, but agreed.  He was smitten and the rest is history.

Ron & Sarah are a perfect match, and it was pretty awesome getting to celebrate with these two lovebirds.  They had me laughing all day long and their wedding was full of joy, goofiness, sweetness and just sheer fun.  I got to shoot with my dear friend Joelle, from Joey Photo, yet again, and she helped snag me some fabulous images!!!  If you have a minute, check out her beautiful work!

Is that first look not the greatest?  Ron had the best, most joyous, most lovable personality.  He was totally crazy about his bride!

Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was a beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony.  The outdoor space was cozy and the sun was just setting as they began the ceremony!

Can you tell she was excited?  One of my favorite things about weddings is the emotion that you’re able to see.  Sarah was just pure giddiness and I loved watching her sweet excitement for her new husband.

I had a blast with this couple all day!  By the end of the night my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.  No doubt, they will have a seriously great marriage.  Congratulations Sarah & Ron!
