Just a ‘lil mini post of a little girl that favorite of mine.  Her mom, Amy, and I are close friends so I’ve gotten to know Addison the last 2 years.  We actually became friends after I photographed her maternity pictures (which you can find here)!  I then got to document Addison when she turned one (here).   I love this sweet little girl and was so pleased with all the genuine smiles we got from her this cold cold day.

Amy brought along some sweet props…. which I love.  Addison is all about the sunglasses.  Yea Girl!

Love those blonde locks!

Love you Amy… 🙂  And love sweet A too!

One of the beautiful things about being a photographer is all the other incredible photographers you get to meet.  Bridget Barnlund is a local Bloomington-Normal photographer in town and she is incredible!  Definitely check out her site www.imaginatephotography.com.  Her style is one I really respect and love and she is beyond talented!  Not only in her photography but in her beautiful display and blog she keeps.  All that to say, we decided to do a family photo swap.  She photographs me and my fam… and I photograph her and her fam.  It works out great.  So here are some of her clan!

I love the sweetness of the photo above… Bridget’s little girl Ashton is giving her mama some love.

When I first met Bridget, she was pregnant with her little guy, Rowen.  He was so go with the flow for the session… and just adored his big sisters!

So after we did some of the fam…. we just had to do some of her and her hubby, Eric.  Below are some of my favorites…. we had fun 🙂

Bridget – your family is amazing.  Thanks for the trade!  Love you dear…

Tara & Dennis had met in high school and dated for somewhere around eight months.  After college put them in two totally different locations, they broke it off only to reunite again 10 years later through the help of facebook.  Gotta love facebook.

These two were so much fun and one thing I particularly loved about this couple was the ease of their relationship.  It just worked.  I could tell by how easy Denny could make Tara laugh, and an amazing laugh she had.  The kind that got me going as well!  They brought their pooch along for the first round of pictures…. loved it.

Check out that gorgeous ring….. oh my.

Then we switched it up a little bit and headed over to a park for yet some more.  Denny was being such a good sport… although secretly I’m sure he was loving every bit of our session. 😉  We ended up scheduling the shoot on Tara’s birthday, so Denny was smiling a little extra for his bride-to-be 🙂

Denny & Tara.  It was such a privilege to meet you both and I completely enjoyed getting to know you both.  I wish you all the best next year with your destination wedding!

Paige and I sat down over coffee at Starbucks a few months ago shortly after she got engaged to Brian.  Brian farms and so they were hoping to get some pictures out in the country.  I drove them out to one of my favorite barns just outside of town only to find they had torn it down.  Sad!  But we hit up some sweet roads along the way and I loved the way these turned out and then headed to a couple other spots in town that I love.  Here are some of my favorites from their session…. 🙂

Brian brought along his Harley.  YES!

Paige!!  You’re GORGEOUS!  Look at her amazing dimples – a little jealous over here 🙂

Sometimes I ask my clients to do things even when I’m somewhat afraid they’re gonna be like “no way you’re crazy”…. as it was in these couple pictures.  This grass was long and a little dewy from the morning and to be honest probably swarming with snakes or something 🙂  But I’m always so appreciative when they do it with a smile for the sake of the image.  And I LOVE what came of it….

And then we busted out the Harley for a few more shots!

Paige and Brian… you guys are fabulous to work with and I LOVED getting to know you guys!  Can’t wait for June!

Jen scheduled an engagement session several months ago after hearing about me from one of my college roommates.  Her and her fiance Nick met at ISU and so we definitely hit up the campus for part of their session.  But first we headed to a park to get started.  Wanted to post this beautiful ring right off the bat…. mmmmm – loooove it.

We were just soaking up this beautiful sunlight during their morning session.  The one directly below is a favorite 🙂

Ok, I take it back…. the next two are my favorite – Nick was such a big guy and Jen was just so little and petite!  He swept her off her feet like it was nothing….

Jen liked the tall grasses – so we headed out to one of my favorite spots to snag these killer images.  I could barely choose which to post.

And on we go to ISU!

Jen is a speech pathologist and works with really young children.  I could tell it was something she was crazy about by how passionately she talked about the kids she works with and the job description itself.  The very bottom picture is the sign for I Love You.  Her and Nick adopted it early on in their relationship as a sweet reminder to tell one another how they feel in busy or public settings where maybe they don’t get the chance to speak it to one another.  An inside moment for the two of them.  So sweet.

Jen & Nick – While I so wish I could be available for your wedding next year – I’m thrilled that I got to work with you guys for your engagement session!  I hope your wedding is filled with incredible memories!
