Soooooo I’m FINALLY going to get caught up on blogging (hopefully) or at least getting a couple of my amazing fall sessions up. This one was one that took place back in September with a couple whom I loved getting to know. High School Sweethearts 🙂 Love it. Their names are Kathryn & Isaiah and I got to travel all the way out to Isaiah’s family farm in St Joseph, IL. It was beautiful!! If they lived closer I’d be sneaking around shooting sessions there every other weekend. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming July!
Welcome to the launch of my NEW logo!
Da Da Dah! It’s finally here! I wanted to change things up a bit in 2011 so am starting the year off with a brand new look! I feel like it better reflects the style of photography I’ve come to create – the cleanness, timelessness, and romance captured in the photos of Jamie Grant Photography.
2011 is going to bring about some sweet new things for my clients as I’ve revamped and reorganized a lot of how I operate. Not only do I have a whole new look, but there are some great new deals and packages in store for my clients!
One of the newest things I’m most excited about is a partnership with an incredible organization called Living Water International. Many of my clients know that the last two years I’ve supported Forget Me Not Ministries in Tinca, Romania. It’s been incredible to partner with them but now look forward to this new endeavor with Living Water. In 2011, 10% of every package or print purchased will be donated for the cause of digging wells to help provide clean drinking water for the almost 1 billion people around the world that don’t have the luxury of having clean water whenever they want. Unsanitary water is a global crisis and claims 1.8 million lives each year, nearly 5000 a day! Living Water partners with villages around the world to ease this crisis.
I’m so excited to get started and begin some well-diggin with all my clients!! I hope to keep everyone posted along the way! Feel free to visit Living Waters website at www.water.cc/ in the meantime!
Meanwhile….here’s some water facts for you:
*884 million people in the world do not have access to safe water. That’s 1 in 8 people!
*The simple act of washing hands with soap and clean water can reduce diarrheal diseased by over 40%
*Water-related disease is the second biggest killer of children worldwide.
*The weight of water that women in Africa and Asia carry on their heads is commonly 40 pounds, the same as the average airport luggage allowance.
Aaaand since I had a couple photos that seemed appropriate…. here they are 🙂
My family is not big into Santa Clause by any means – but right after we found out I was pregnant we found this adorable little Santa outfit at a thrift shop just outside of Bloomington. The dates it would fit her matched up and we finally got to put it on her for the first time as we decorated our house for Christmas and put up our tree. I’m saving my favorites for our Christmas card (which I’ll post later) but here is one of our little girl all ready for Christmas!
So I figured until I have a little extra time to blog I’ll just keep posting mini blogs. i.e. one or two photos from what I’m working on at the moment. Here is just a couple from Mindy & Nick’s engagement session that I just love. I’m sure I’ll be blogging more of their session soon – but here’s a small taste… 🙂
I had coordinated this session with Halle’s mom and was so excited when they decided to go out to Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Bloomington for the shoot. Halle’s mom Lisa used to work there so we were able to get permission to photograph around the campgrounds! It was GORGEOUS! While I absolutely love shooting in new locations…. this one seemed to have endless choices and I loved the way Halle’s photos turned out!
- Love the sun.
- My favorite of the day!
- love this series!
- Halle’s boyfriend Jared came along for the ride so of course we had to grab a couple of the two of them 🙂
