So I was so excited to get this new blog and had so many dreams and visions of what it could become… but yes, here I am two months later and already having to apologize for never posting any updates!!  I blame it on the holidays for one… and on my lack of discipline when it comes to these things.  I’m not exactly the blogging type, but am truly trying to change!  Anyways, another exciting thing that happened (which I might use as an excuse for my lack of blogging) is our newest announcement… we’re having a baby!  While we found out mid November, we finally were able to announce it to all our friends and family this past weekend.  So here I am, my little pea-size bump, at 12 weeks!  (p.s. photo taken by my fabulous husband, Brandon)BabyBump-10

So I absolutely can’t wait to photograph this couple’s wedding in May of 2010!  Michael and Heather were absolutely adorable together and their love just radiated.  They were quite brave and scheduled a mini December engagement session (which aren’t the most pleasant in central IL), but we were able to take pictures at Ewing Manor, a beautiful location I don’t get to photograph at often. While it was crazy cold out, they were awesome and we were able to get some great pictures.

I got the chance to photograph the Steffen family out at Lake Bloomington… it was a beautiful family and a gorgeous day (little cold), but not bad.  Here they are!

    Thanks Jamie, we absolutely love our pictures and have gotten several comments on them. I could look at them over and over again!!

October is my absolute favorite month to photograph in! I LOVE all the beautiful colors of the leaves. And while we only get about 3 weeks of great color, I try to pack in as many session as possible before the leaves drop and the trees become bare. This was probably my last session before the trees all died (once they’re bare I avoid them at all costs!)… so I was really grateful to get some of the great colors with this beautiful couple!! I get to photograph their wedding September 4th of next year.

So I feel as though I’ve done tons of engagement session the last month as my wedding season has come to a close!  While I have several engagements on my list to post, I figured I’d get a wedding up here so I can have a little variety in my “categories” section.  This is Chris & Tiffany.  This couple was SO much fun to photograph… probably because Tiffany was amazing and had so much fun in front of my camera.  I love it when brides really enjoy themselves and express their personality as I take the pictures!  They got married at Senica’s Oak Ridge Country Club (beautiful!) in LaSalle, IL and had some incredibly fun and unique aspects to their receptions which I absolutely loved!  So enjoy my very first wedding post…
