It felt like a dream getting to photograph in Newport Beach. While I consider myself a San Diego Wedding Photographer, I am always up for traveling to new beautiful beaches… and this one. Whew. Beautiful. A place I had grown up only reading about in books (literally) now came to life as I photographed my first ever beach wedding since moving to California. I met Aida only via phone since she had just moved up to LA and was busy getting settled and beginning her acting career. We clicked so well over email though I knew it was she and Blake were going to be fabulous to work with.
Aida and Blake opted for a intimate and simple elegant wedding with only a few family members. It was beautiful.
A first dance flowed naturally after their pronouncement of husband and wife. Such a sweet moment in time.
The week prior we were all hovering over our phones checking weather updates. It was about 50% chance of rain up until only a day before. I had rain gear all ready to go but thankfully the skies held out and gave us some beautiful sun! It was just cold! And I mean COLD. And with no refuge to warm up, Blake & Aida were troopers staying out close to sunset with no relief from the frigid air!
Pinky Promise.
Blake’s sister, Ali Janesky, did Aida’s hair. It was gorgeous! I was so impressed with how well it held up amidst all the wind.
Thank you Blake & Aida for entrusting me with you day! Much love to you both as you begin your journey as husband and wife!
