Jordan & Marqui are a couple especially near and dear to my heart.  Marqui has been my husband’s administrative assistant at Fuel (the college ministry he led) for the last two years.  We LOVE Marqui, and it was only an added bonus that she was dating Jordan because we then got to hang out with the two of them regularly.  They’ve been dating since high school…. I believe, and as a facebook status update proclaimed, 80 months.  They were both QUITE ready to say “I Do” and tis was a glorious “I do” for the both of them.

If any of the groomsmen look familiar it might be because it seemed like the majority of the clan was in a previous wedding I had done back in December.  I’ll just say they were quite the entertainment and I think my cheeks hurt from laughing at them by the end of the day 🙂

After the ceremony, we headed over to a park where they would occasionally spend their time together in high school.

Wedding season is in full bloom!  My second photographer, Kathleen, and I kicked it off with Kristen and Bart up in the suburbs of Chicago.  Such a sweet couple and a beautiful celebration!!

Bart and Kristen hosted their celebration at their home church and then the gorgeous Byron Colby Barn in Grays Lake IL.  While I had met with Kristen and her mom for our consultation and planning meeting, it was the first time I got to meet Bart as well as photograph the two of them.  Loved them!  Kristen was so down to earth and laid back.  And Bart… well he was just crazy about Kristen.  They met at a Buffalo Wild Wings several years ago and hit it off…. how adorable is that?!  Here are just a few from their day!

Can’t take credit for that awesome picture of Bart seeing Kristen for the first time…. that was all Kathleen!  Check out her site here!

Well, I promise I was more faithful in giving to Living Water than I was at updating the status of our progress 🙂  The crazy wedding season in the fall got the best of me and I could only barely keep my head above water!  Eeek.  Yes.  So I totally dropped the ball with the updates.  However, I am THRILLED to tell you that we did BUILD AN ENTIRE WELL!  The project was completed and a village in Kenya now has clean drinking water!

Thank you for all your support and encouragement in this endeavor!  I got so much positive feedback.  So check out the final update for our progress site http://www.jamiegrantphotography.com/water…. and all my fabulous 2011 brides and grooms…. know that your wedding day made a lasting impact on so many!

Blessings,
Jamie

David and Emily were one of the sweetest (and cutest) couples ever.  They were so genuine, thoughtful and kind… making sure I was cared for in every way.  Their January wedding was themed peacock and Emily beautifully wove the colors and details all throughout the day.  I loved getting to be apart of their day this past month.  Here are some teasers from their wedding day!

Her dad was was her hair stylist so he was right by her side all day making sure every curl was in place.  It looked gorgeous!

Once again for this January wedding we were hoping for a bit of snow…. but nope.  However we did get some decent warmth that day and some clear blue skies!

Emily and her dad have a great relationship and he was sooo proud walking her down that aisle!

Check out all these amazing details….. oooh love love love.
