So if you’ve been following my blog at all you’ll know that almost 8 weeks ago I had a beautiful little girl, Elyse! She is the most amazing thing and we are head over heels in love with her. She already has my hubby wrapped around her little finger. He’s pretty smitten…especially because just recently she’s begun to give us the biggest smiles and we’ve seen more and more of her personality emerge! (Amazing).  It’s so fun to think about what she’ll be like or who she’ll become. I thought I’d post a few pictures along with a few of these sweet little personality traits we’ve noticed:

1.  She is determined.  Very very determined.  She can wiggle her way out of just about any swaddle we put her in!  Brandon and I love to listen to her little grunts from the monitor and see her little legs pushing up and around trying to free herself.  We call her our little houdini.

2.  She is curious and observative.  She loves to be held over our shoulder, swung up so high her little arms hang over.  I think she likes to look around at everything and check out all the new surroundings.

3.  She is a talker.  She LOVES to talk (baby talk of course) and has recently discovered her voice.  We’ve been having fun interacting back and forth with her as she chats and coos… one of our favorite new skills she’s learned!

Jake and Lindsay were so much fun to photograph and their wedding was beautiful.  Lindsay is absolutely full of life and brings joy to wherever she’s at, and Jake, well Jake you just always have to assume he’s joking (as properly put by Lindsay’s Matron of Honor).  They were such an awesome couple to photograph, not only because they’re both beautiful, but because they were crazy about one another!  Jake & Lindsay were also the first couple I photographed after I got my blog, so you can view my very first post of them here!

Throughout the blog you’ll also see a lot of detail and decor shots.  Their wedding had such a unique vintage theme to it!  All the planning and coordinating was done by Cally Shane at Fabulous Affairs.  She was in charge of coordinating and executing all the details from the vintage photo booth and all the decor to the menu and kid’s gifts.  She also was in charge of all the printing!!  All the invites, placecards, tablecards, yard signs, programs, etc… were designed by her…. and it looked amazing!  Thank you Cally for all the gorgeous accessories and the wonderful planning!

So I’m full on back in the swing of things as of now and my first session back (after my wedding) was my good friend Ashley’s daughter Ellie.   Ashley and I have been good friends for over two years now and have been through a lot together, which has made me value and cherish her friendship all the more.  Ellie was born one year ago on the 31st and I got the priviledge of being with Ashley during the delivery and seeing this beauty’s first appearance into the world.  She is beyond cute and has just started walking within the last couple weeks.  I loved getting to capture Ellie’s sweetness and gorgeous smile!  Here are a few of my favorites!

So when I found out I was pregnant it was a little bit of a surprise. While we had been trying for a few months, we postponed the “trying” part for a couple months knowing the baby would make their appearance right in the heat of wedding season! And while we were beyond thrilled to find out we were due July 21st, I knew it would be a bummer for some of my brides. Denille and Brooks had booked me for July 10th, but after telling them the situation, they insisted they still wanted me as their photographer if no baby had arrived by that point. While I would be 38 1/2 weeks pregnant, I agreed! They were, after all, an amazing couple to photograph!! Here are a few of their engagement pictures we had taken just a few months before I found out I was pregnant and then on with the wedding!
